Saskia d'Altena is an award winning producer, writer and director. Originally from the UK and based in NYC, culture shock is her biggest inspiration.

In 2018 she dropped out of the Film & TV program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts to pursue an early freelance career in production, with her work since making its way onto screens at notable festivals across the circuit.

In 2024 her film “Tumba del Mar” (dir Andrew Garcia) won the award for Best Narrative Short at RiverRun and in 2026 her film “La Lucha de Lucia” (dir Maria Sofia Hernandez) had its NY premiere at Tribeca. In 2025 she directed the documentary “If You Really Love Me, Outlive Me” featuring honky tonk legend Dale Watson, which won the Reel South Award at the Miami Film Festival, and was selected by the Florida Film Festival, Heartland Film’s Indy Shorts, HollyShorts, and the Nashville Film Festival.

Her scripts in development have received quarter and semi-finalist status at a range of screenplay competitions, including the Ojai Film Festival Screenplay Competition, Los Angeles Screenplay Awards, New York International Screenplay Awards and Scriptation Showcase.

She is currently an Executive Producer at production company Easy Mondays, where she leads their creative studio arm for film and TV development.
